Description

The UHPC-SL Filter Series is engineered specifically for high-pressure compressed gas coalescing filtration. Each housing is rated to 5,700 PSIG and manufactured in accordance with ASME B31.3 specifications, ensuring reliable performance under demanding operating conditions.

Constructed from carbon steel and fully coated with nickel/chrome plating for superior corrosion protection, the UHPC-SL Series provides high-efficiency filtration with a selection of three grades of robust coalescing filter cartridges. Custom configurations are also available upon request.

Our coalescing microfiber elements feature integral stainless steel inner and outer cages, metal end caps for added durability, and a captured O-ring to ensure a positive seal. Standard element seals are Buna-N, and the housing seals are matched accordingly. For alternative materials, use the following suffixes when ordering: V = Viton, E = EPDM, KZ = Kalrez

(example: SL38-172-70CSX3-V). Five-layer stainless steel elements are also offered in a variety of micron ratings for bulk contaminant removal.

Liquid aerosols, particularly lube oil carryover, are common in high-pressure compression systems. Our reinforced microfiber coalescing elements provide an ideal solution — the glass fiber media effectively captures submicron aerosols, while the 1.25” reservoir area allows for the collection of large volumes of liquid before draining.

The SL Series of spring-loaded elements is designed for high differential pressure applications, featuring inner and outer stainless steel cages for maximum strength and stability. The reinforced support cores and integrated spring base protect the element from dynamic pressure fluctuations, ensuring consistent filtration performance under variable operating conditions.

For continuous liquid removal in natural gas service, we recommend our CS Grade (all-glass fiber) coalescing spring-loaded elements, which maintain high efficiency without performance loss over time.

For extreme service conditions, our “RC” Reinforced Coalescing Cartridges provide exceptional durability. These elements feature a borosilicate glass inner layer sandwiched between two rayon/phenolic layers, offering superior mechanical strength and resistance to harsh environments.

We also offer coalescing elements encapsulated within a five-layer stainless steel structure for the most demanding applications. Please consult us for configuration details and performance specifications.
